چکیده
Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) are a fast growing therapy used in several types of malignancies. The majority immune related adverse events observed the kidney due to acute interstitial nephritis. Glomerular diseases although less common have also been described. Case Presentation: We present case phospholipase A2 receptor positive membranous nephropathy triggered by ICI cemiplimab (PD1 inhibitor) 88 year old man with no prior history proteinuria or glomerular disease. patient responded steroid monotherapy rapid clinical and immunological remission. Conclusion: While patients undergoing warrant close monitoring systemic events, physicians should remain vigilant obtain biopsy if clinically indicated.

Anti-phospholipase A2 receptor antibody in membranous nephropathy.
The M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) is a target autoantigen in adult idiopathic membranous nephropathy (MN), but the prevalence of autoantibodies against PLA2R is unknown among Chinese patients with MN. Here, we measured anti-PLA2R antibody in the serum of 60 patients with idiopathic MN, 20 with lupus-associated MN, 16 with hepatitis B (HBV)-associated MN, and 10 with tumor-associated ...

Antibodies to myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 (PR3) have been demonstrated to mediate anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated disease. For membranous nephropathy, antibodies to the podocyte-expressed phospholipase A(2) receptor (anti-PLA(2)R) are highly associated with disease activity and have been reported in at least 70% of patients with idiopathic membranous nephropath...
متن کاملAnti-phospholipase A2 Receptor Antibody and Immunosuppression in Membranous Nephropathy: More Evidence for Pathogenicity of Anti-phospholipase A2 Receptor Autoantibodies.
In the 6 years since the discovery of anti-phospholipase A2 receptor (anti-PLA2R) antibodies in the majority of patients with primary membranous nephropathy (MN),1 our understanding of the role of anti-PLA2R in clinical disease has evolved rapidly. The initial small retrospective clinical studies indicated that anti-PLA2R levels could be modulated by immunosuppression.1,2 Levels decreased in ad...
متن کاملAnti-Phospholipase A2 Receptor (PLA2R) Antibody and Glomerular PLA2R Expression in Japanese Patients with Membranous Nephropathy
The phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) is the major target antigen (Ag) in idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). Recently, several types of immunoassay systems for anti-PLA2R antibody (Ab) have been developed. However, the correlation of serum anti-PLA2R Abs and glomerular expression of PLA2R Ag, and their association with clinicopathological characteristics have yet to be proven in Japanese ...
